What is An Au Pair?

The Au-Pair arrangement offers a good opportunity for the applicants both from Western and Eastern Europe to learn the English language, whilst living as a member of a English-speaking family. Au-Pair applicants usually are available for a minimum of six months throughout the year, there are also a number of girls who want to come for two/three months during the summer holiday period.

AN AU-PAIR

Au Pairs are students from other countries who come to Britain to study our language and learn about our culture. The word Au Pair comes from the French meaning at par, equal to, and therefore they live as part of your family and are treated as an elder son or daughter with appropriate responsibilities. They help with childcare and light housework and in return for these duties, they receive pocket money, full board and lodging and their own bedroom.
